US report on Iran DISHONEST

Once again the NeoCon party led by bush is telling lies as they attempt to take us further into war in the Mid East. Some are already calling the next bush bash WWIII !

Once again Congress has the opportunity to confront these lies. Will they?

It was repeatedly shown, prior to the bush Iraq invasion that Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11 nor did Iraq have any WMD. See the links on my blog.

Now, Bush is lieing about Iran, as he did about Iraq. Bush again attempt's to convince the USA people (Congress) that invasion is necessary. NOT SO!!! The proof is in many many documents of inspectors, investigators, both Governmental and Non Governmental sources.

We must insist Congress stand firm against further involvement, and exit Iraq.

We must end the rein of the Neo CON's.

The Neo Con's are a different party than the old Republican's. It is time they identify themselves as Neo Con's and NOT Republicans. It is time Republicans EXPEL these Neo Con Fraud Fessors from their party. It is time Democrats refuse to hear this fraud fessing regime.

Report on Iran's nuclear ambitions called 'dishonest'
Nuclear watchdog agency letter points out discrepancies

By GEORGE JAHN

The Associated Press

VIENNA, Austria - A recent U.S. House of Representatives committee report on Iran's nuclear capability is "outrageous and dishonest" in trying to make a case that Tehran's program is geared toward making weapons, a senior official of the International Atomic Energy Agency has said.

The letter, obtained by The Associated Press on Thursday outside a 35-nation IAEA board meeting, says the report is false in saying Iran is making weapons-grade uranium at an experimental enrichment site, when it has in fact produced material only in small quantities that is far below the level that can be used in nuclear arms.

The letter, which was first reported on by The Washington Post, also says the report erroneously says that IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei removed a senior nuclear inspector from the team investigating Iran's nuclear program "for concluding that the purpose of Iran's nuclear programme is to construct weapons."

In fact, the inspector was sidelined on Tehran's request, and the Islamic republic had a right to ask for a replacement under agreements that govern all states relationships with the agency, said the letter, calling the report's version "incorrect and misleading."

"In addition," says the letter, "the report contains an outrageous and dishonest suggestion that such removal might have been for 'not having adhered to an unstated IAEA policy barring IAEA officials from telling the whole truth about the Iranian nuclear program.' "

Dated Aug. 12, the letter was addressed to Rep. Peter Hoekstra, a Michigan Republican and chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. It was signed by Vilmos Cserveny, a senior director of the Vienna-based agency.

An IAEA official, who asked for anonymity because he was not authorized to comment on the letter, said it was written "to set the record straight."

The dispute was reminiscent of the clashes between the Vienna-based agency and the U.S. administration over whether Iraq's Saddam Hussein was trying to make weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear arms. U.S. arguments that Saddam had such covert arms programs were given as the chief reason for toppling Saddam.

ElBaradei's criticism of the U.S. standpoint on Iraq and subsequent accusations that he was soft on Iran in his staff's investigation of suspicions Tehran's nuclear activities might be a cover for a weapons program led to a failed attempt last year by the United States to prevent his re-election.

Today, the world rates the US down at the bottom with the lunatic regimes of North Korea and Iran. Al Qaeda isn't in the group because it is not a nation.
The UK and Israel would be down there too, except they don't believe their own lies [yet].

Who is the world? The madmen from Russia or China? The insanity that comes from the middle east, India or Pakistan? The arogance of the French, or the terrorist harboring Germans? Who rates so highly that we need to bow at their alter of self-righteousnous. The only reason the UK isn't down there is because the monarchy won't allow them to be and Israel is there standing next to the US if we are there.

My world encompasses my family and friends in Israel and the fine human beings I’ve met on the blogosphere. I do not recognize anyone else as a spokesman for anything. I don’t believe anything until I have at least two confirmations from contacts on the ground.
The people in my world fear the Iranians Koreans or Americans will expand WWIII into a nuclear conflict. In this I am being factual and not judgmental. A person who has just been fried by a nuclear bomb could care less if it came from the good guys or the bad ones.
My world does not believe the UK or Israel will launch a pre-emptive nuclear strike. Of course, just because I believe in the Internet people it doesn't automatically mean they are right.[OHMY]

Let me correct you on an issue....Saddam Hussein DID possesss WMD's and he used them against his own people during the attacks in Iraqi Kurdistan. He possessed Chemical and biological WMD which was never denied by inspectors or the regime. In 1991 while I was in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia Chem sites were hit in Iraq and chemicals were dispersed. There has also been proof of nuclear attempts. The attempted purchase of uranium in Niger was substansiated. There will be disputes over this for decades but I can assure you, you are not the authority on this matter.

    Dear Big Bob 47

Perhaps the misunderstanding we are having is that the1991 Desert Storm War and Bush II Invasion of Iraq are two separate events. There are different facts. From 1983 to 1990, the U.S. government approved around $200 million in arms sales to Iraq, which included the components for biological weapons. This was in support of Iraq war with Iran. When Iraq invaded Kuwait, the US stopped that invasion. Desert Storm was successful and led to the destruction of any WMD which Iraq inventoried. This successful disarmament has been well documented.

I do not approve of dictators, most certainly not Hussein. However many countries still have dictators and they cannot all be simply assassinated as there are many replacement dictators. The key is the people must want and be willing to fight for Liberty.

Perhaps George I realized Hussein was a "king pin" necessary to withstand the radical forces in the mid east, and that is why he stopped short of entering Bagdad at that time.

At any rate, there was no valid reason to Invade Iraq in 2003. You mention the Niger lie which persists.

Niger uranium or yellowcake forgery is often used as shorthand to refer to the controversy surrounding and a set of false documents that were used in the justification of the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Certainly the USA should have confronted all who invaded the USA on 9-11. However that event is not license to war with the entire Mid East.

bigbob, the people in those countries are just like people here. They want to live and experience life. It is those who want to dominate, take over and rule, that are the problem. The imperialist bush, trying to take over the world in his imperialist mania is the problem. Yikes, smell the sulpher just from mentioning bush.
