Iraq Update

September 9, 2006 / by bruceeggum

A U.S. Senate report released Friday concludes that Saddam Hussein had no connection with al-Qaida and actually viewed them as a threat to his own country. The report added that Iraq was also not reconstituting its nuclear program, possessed no biological warfare agents, nor had developed mobile facilities to produce them.

Reasons for invading Iraq:

1. Iraq has weapons of mass destruction - False
2. Saddam Hussein is connected to al-Qaida - False
3. Iraq is reconstituting its nuclear program - False
4. Iraq has biological weapons - False
5. Iraq has developed mobile facilities for producing biological warfare agents.- False

These top five are invalid as current documents prove.
6. Good diversion to confuse redneck-hillbilly-slackjaw support base
7. Can call it a "mission" and then claim it's "accomplished"
8. Provide steady income from $240 million daily budget for Halliburton, defense contractors, and U.S. media*

* Divert CBS share to FOX News c/o Mr. B. O'Reilly
Thanks cous fer the info.

A US Senate report...Wow, that is enough to hang your hat by.....They can't agree along with Bill Clinton on whether oral sex is sex or not. You need outside investigations run by independent sources...That is how we learned that it was a lie about Bush's involvement in the Valerie Plame case. We know that Iraq had chemical and biological weapons during the first gulf war and that he began redevelopment after the first war ended....It has been speculated that some of these toxins lie at the bottom of the Euphrates, some are in Syria.....I like your redneck crack...It realy shows the true face of ignorance and the left wing superiority complex. Just remember...Many of the left wing icons including Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Bill and Hill, Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi, and others preached about Saddams nuclear, biological, and chemical stockpiles before the Clinton administration left office....Kerry right up until 2004.....

    Thanks for your comment bigbob
If you click the link on Global Research on the left you will find one of the many independent studies you suggest. The Centre for Research on Globalisation (CRG) is an independent research and media group of writers, scholars and activists. It is a registered non profit organization in the province of Quebec, Canada.
Certainly Iraq had WMD, the USA gave them to Iraq. Indeed the USA hired Saddam's bunch. But than there was the requirement for Iraq to destroy all these WMD with sanctions, etc.The numerous investigations before Bush began the Iraq war revealed these weapons were gone, or inoperable. This has certainly all been confirmed now.
If you care about our troops, you must agree that sending them to battle where there is no cause is wrong. Bruce

I agree. How much can we believe from the Senate when Republicans hold 55 of the 100 seats? Concerning "outside investigations run by independant sources," that was done by United Nations weapons inspectors. Yet, this President repeatedly chose to ignore their findings in favor of no physical evidence at all. The issue here is not the preachings of Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Bill and Hill, Al Gore, or Nancy Pelosi, but the actions of this President and whether he knowingly reported false information to Congress in order to get them to authorize a declaration of war. A far better example of a "superiority complex" is an administration that funtions as if the laws of this nation do not apply to them.
