Oh, perhaps you are confused by Wikipe There are only 581,530 people in DC. The metropolitan area is NOT governed by DC. If these people choose, they could live outside DC with a short commute. Five miles to the center of DC from it's border. There are mass transit facilities. Bruce

Hi ekyprogressive, thanks for your comment
No, DC must be run by US. It is our US Infrastructure. If Washington DC were a
State, they would have the power to condem any structure, a "dictator" governor could "do as they please" and destroy our Infrastructure. We can't even control george! Nope we need the security of having control of our US Capitol.
ps we need Initiative and BINDING Rederendum [I&BR] for the USA

Thanks Slywoody. I will attempt that. Sometimes with all the issues I get overwhelmed trying to write about them. You are absolutely right and I myself appreciate when articles are easy and quick to read. Bruce

    IRAQ: From Worse to Worst?
    Mohammed A. Salih
ARBIL - More than four months after the launch of the U.S. government's new Iraq strategy aimed at curbing violence in this war-torn country, the situation here shows no clear signs of improvement. Indeed, a new report by a British think tank warns that Iraq is a "failure" on the verge of "collapse and fragmentation."

    Analysis by Gareth Porter
WASHINGTON - Nationalist Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr's bid to unite Sunnis and Shiites on the basis of a common demand for withdrawal of U.S. occupation forces, reported last weekend by the Washington Post's Sudarsan Raghavan, seems likely to get a positive response from Sunni armed resistance.

WASHINGTON - Two major studies prepared by the U.S. intelligence community and distributed to senior officials in every relevant agency two months before Washington's invasion of Iraq warned of many of the problems that have turned the U.S. occupation there into the worst foreign policy crisis since at least the Vietnam War.

Catidogi, I do like your idea of charging the culprits with Military Commission Act charges, but"they" made that only for us. We must use impeachment.

Thanks catidogi. If your sheriff did nothing, it would be up to the people to demand Charges and Trial for the suspect. Here, we people must demand that Justice be served by impeachment of officials who lied, took us to War, over 500.000 killed, and Al-Qaeda begging us to continue because our "war" strengthens them.
We must Impeach to stop the carnage. Bruce
